S-100 protein PRO [primary]
Experiment Id: 11570 Pattern Id: MT1278 Clone number: |
Rationale: The solid tumor lines were characterized individually using immunocytochemical techniques to determine their relative degrees of representativity for the subpanels within which they are grouped. |
Investigator(s): Stinson, Dr. Sherman NCI-FCRDC |

Method: Immunostaining Unit: Percent positive cells Protocol: Cells were grown to near-confluence and harvested with a cell scaper. Cytology specimens were propared on glass or Teflon-coated slides. Immunostaining was performed on air-dired, unfixed specimens (for cell surface antigens) or on actone fixed specimens (for intracellular antigens) with commercially available kits. Slides were prepared froma minimum of 2 separate cultures for each cell line. Micorscopically, 3 separate fields, each with ~100 cells, were selected from each slide and the % positive stained cells was counted. Results from all fields and slides were averaged and rounded to the nearest 5%. |
