Rationale: Metabolic profiling can provide information on the physiological state of a cell line. |
Investigator(s): Mohney, Dr. Robert Metabolon, Inc. |
|
Method: LC/MS and GC/MS Unit: Relative units Protocol: Triplicate samples (most cell lines) were prepared with a proprietary series of organic and aqueous extractions to remove the protein fraction while allowing maximum recovery of small molecules. Samples were split and analyzed by LC/MS and GC/MS. Compounds were identified by comparison to library entries of purified standards or recurrent unknown entities. Data was normalized to correct variation resulting from instrument inter-day tuning differences. |
