Human tumor cell line panel revised to include breast and prostate cell lines
According to the American Cancer Society, 211,240 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 232,090 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed in 2005.
The original cell line panel did not include breast and prostate tumors, which were added in 1992. The assay was then revalidated using DTP’s standard agents. The cell lines' mean graph printouts fit on a single page in a legible font, not a frivolous consideration when data for 10,000 compounds per year were provided to suppliers around the world.
